Stitch

Saturday we will be traveling to Austin, Texas, to attend the 5th Annual Stitch event. This show features tons of popular indie artists & crafters, as well as clothing designers & entertainers. The extensive lineup features many recognizable names, as well as some new funky finds I am happy to discover. Here's a few that I am looking forward to meeting:

Naughty Secretary Club: Jennifer Perkins, co-host of DIY'S Stylelicious & a founding member of the Austin Craft Mafia, creates unique jewelry, accessories & home decor by revamping vintage materials.

Hot Pink Pistol: Hope Perkins is Jennifer's sister & also a Stylelicious co-host & a founding member of the Austin Craft Mafia. Hope creates the most unique artwork & clothing.

Aorta: Based in Lincoln, Nebraska, Aorta showcases clothing & accessories featuring illustrations by Jessica. I adore the squids!

Figs & Ginger: Husband & wife team Elijah & Rhonda Wyman create fabulous sterling jewelry. The deer necklace they donated to the Stitch raffle is extraordinary.
ETA: Rhonda & Elijah have generously set up a coupon code for readers of Funky Finds. Enter belovedblogger when checking out for a 10% discount!

JNADesigns
: It is going to be next to impossible to avoid purchasing all the fabulous vinyl accessories designed by Jenifer Nakatsu Arntson.

Kailo Chic: Austin-based designer Kara Whitten creates fabulous handbags, jewelry & clothing. The hand clutch is wonderful & I want ALL of the skirts!

myOlivette: Angela Montgomery is a Scottsdale-based jewelry artist who uses a variety of materials in her work. Your Secret is Safe With Me is a beautiful piece & the Black Royale earrings are stunning.

Round Robin Press: I'm sure it is apparent that I love beautiful stationery. Shannon Lowry has created brilliant letterpress PLANTABLE cards. Shannon uses paper embedded with basil and chive seeds & printed them herself on a 1898 Chandler & Price press.

Sparklepants Industries: Fried eggs are part of an ongoing inside joke between myself & a friend. So I immediately wanted to purchase the Nice Leggs cards designed by Sparklepants Industries. This Michigan-based artist features lots of wonderful whimsical designs, including robot stationery.

Sweettooth Bags: Sweettooth designer & creative director Amy Barber creates unique handbags & accessories. The bangle totes are my fav!

Victrola Design: Victoria Corbett is a talented artist based out of Austin. Her artwork is available on clothing & accessories, as well.
