Strappy's

Nothing ruins an ensemble faster than having thick ugly bra straps hanging out. Strappy's remedies this problem by offering decorative bra straps that are so fun and flirty you’ll actually want to show off your straps. The interchangeable bra straps are fashionable, comfortable and affordable – no matter what your fashion style is. Founder Allison Mercer created the straps while living in California. She loved to wear tank and spaghetti-strap tops but found strapless bras didn’t provide the support she needed. She began decorating her bra straps so she didn't have ugly ones showing. The jewelry bra straps are perfect for elegant fashions and are available in a variety of jewels, such as black crystals and pink rose jewels. Strappy's also offers handmade beaded bra straps that are comfortable, supportive & available in a wide variety of colors. There's also many cute fabric straps to choose from. The Pin Show

If you live near Dallas, tomorrow night is The Pin Show and you need to be there! The event will take place at the renewed Historic Union Station in downtown Dallas and will feature 26 independent fashion and accessory designers showcasing over 130 new looks on the runway. Beyond the runway there will be live photo shoots on two styled sets. Attendees will have the opportunity to mingle with designers and even have the rare chance to purchase your favorite look right off the runway before it hits stores.

Founded in 2007 by Independent Designers Rachel Nichelson and Julie McCullough Kim, The Pin Show provides all emerging fashion industry designers, photographers, artists, stylists and retail buyers a profound launching platform for independent work in the fashion industry. In addition, it provides the public a unique fashion experience that is generally reserved for high-end designers and their clientele. Retail buyers and reps will see the latest lines from independent regional designers and meet with them following the show to discuss future business relationships. I am really looking forward to this event as I have never been to a runway show. I hope to see you all there!

DaVinci

I tend to neglect men here on Funky Finds, so I decided that this was good find men might appreciate. Do you ever watch Two & a Half Men with Charlie Sheen? He always wears cool bowling shirts on the show, and he has now teamed up with Rock & Roll Religion to launch a signature line of casual shirts. The DaVinci Collection by Charlie Sheen is a line of retro shirts that debuted in Las Vegas this month. DaVinci clothing is a high quality, California made line of casual shirts, reminiscent of the rockabilly culture born in the 1950’s. Sheen said, “The retro designs exude a sense of cool, smooth, yet effortless style. Christopher Wicks has done well with the classic DaVinci collection and I’m excited to incorporate my vision into the line.” Influenced by the martini lounges, pool halls and bowling alleys of the era, the pieces are nostalgic, yet chic without trying too hard. The DaVinci Collection by Charlie Sheen incorporates the classic DaVinci mainstays such as agoya shell buttons, retro patterns and vertical contrasting color combinations with additional detailing and embroidery to enhance each piece.
